Siberian Ginseng

Siberian Ginseng is a small woody shrub native to Siberia and other parts of northeastern Asia.

Siberian Ginseng: Latin name: (Genus) Eleutherecoccus; (Species) E. senticosus.

Though different in chemical composition to Korean or Panax Ginseng, the medicinal effects and health benefits attributed to Siberian Ginseng are remarkably similar to its better known relative.

Like Korean Ginseng Siberian Ginseng is considered an adaptogen, a substance said to help individuals cope with physical and emotional stress by stimulating the adrenal glands to secrete stress-busting hormones.

Siberian Ginseng has also been used traditionally to improve performance, boost energy levels and enhance the memory, as well as help stimulate the immune system and improve circulation.

Historically Siberian Ginseng has been prescribed as a general system-boosting tonic, and as such has been used to treat a broad range of ailments, including common colds, coughs, flu and other viral infections.

Also chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and even mild depression.

Lastly, but certainly not least, Siberian Ginseng is recommended for impotence and erectile dysfunction in men, and to relieve symptoms of menstruation and menopause in women, as well as improve fertility.

Basically this Siberian bad boy is indicated as an all-round tonic and energy booster!

Panax Ginseng

Also known as Asian Ginseng, Chinese Ginseng and Korean Ginseng, Panax Ginseng is one of several distinct species of perennial plants belonging to the Panax genus, an adaptogen characterized by the presence of ginsenosides.

As such, Panax Ginseng is said to reduce stress, trauma, anxiety and fatigue, and generally help individuals cope with the day to day pressures of modern life, both physical and emotional.

Panax Ginseng has been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years as an energy boosting tonic. It is a stimulant, and is recognized in traditional Chinese medicine as a rejuvenating herb.

Panax Ginseng: Latin name: (Genus) Panax; (Species) P. ginseng.

In today’s frantic world Panax Ginseng is indicated to reduce the effects of stress, improve performance, boost energy levels, enhance memory and stimulate the immune system.

Like its Siberian cousin, then, Panax Ginseng is indicated as an all-round tonic and energy booster!
